Please allow a minimum of 3 working days before enquiring about test results, as this allow time for the laboratory to process your sample. Please note that some tests take longer than others.
Blood tests
We offer phlebotomy clinics from 8am to 2pm, Tuesday to Friday. These are for patients aged 13 and over who have had a request for blood tests by one of our team. Please note that we do not have the capacity to undertake blood tests requested by the hospital. These can be taken at the requesting hospital. Lister and Bedford Hospital offer a walk in service.
- Lister Hospital open 8:30am to 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) and Saturdays 9am to 10:45am
- Bedford Hospital open 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOne account
- by phoning us after 10am on 01767 316346 and we will tell you what the results are
