Please be aware we do not accept medication requests from Pharmacies on behalf of patients. This is the case regardless of the method used to make these requests.
We ask all our patients to request their own medication directly from us using either online services, NHS App, or in writing using the repeat slip or a slip of paper. This is the safest way to receive requests. All requests must be in writing and made in plenty of time to allow us to process your request. Please do not phone the surgery to request medication.
If you are a vulnerable patient you can ask your Pharmacy if they can manage your repeats and they will ask the practice for approval to do this for you.
Medication requests from patients are processed and sent to their nominated pharmacy within 72 hours.
Please remember that Monday 28th August is a Bank Holiday so allow plenty of time to make your request.
If you do find yourself in a position where you have run out of your medication over the weekend you can call or go online to 111 who will arrange a small emergency supply for you and send this to a local pharmacy. This must be for medication you are prescribed regularly through a repeat prescription. You cannot use this service for antibiotics, a new or recent problem or controlled drugs that require identification. If this happens please still request your medication in writing as normal.
